Seeking CF for private room in 2 bed/1 bath apt in LIC - 1395

CF looking for a CF roommate around my age (34) for a lease takeover from 9/1/20 through 5/6/21. Rent will be $1,395.50/month and the deposit is 1 months rent. The apt is a 4th floor walk up of a 9 unit building that is rent stabilized. Rent has only gone up 1.5% each year.

The apt is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit with the bedrooms on opposite sides of the apartment. The living room furniture belongs to my current roommate so if you have furniture, that’s perfect. If not, I will plan to buy. There is a wall mounted heating and cooling unit located in each bedroom as well as one in the living room area. Each is controlled by it’s own digital thermostat. We also have a dishwasher, laundry in the building (located on the main floor), storage on the main floor, and access to the rooftop which is a finished area.

The bedroom is 11’11” x 11’6” and will be unfurnished with the exception of a nice wardrobe that comes with the apartment. It includes hanging space on both sides as well as shelving and wire baskets on one side and glass front drawers on the other side. The room can fit a full size bed, night stand, dresser, and desk or bookshelf.

I’m looking for a clean, respectful roommate who doesn’t bring the party home. The apartment is smoke free.

Utilities are not included and are $35 a month for internet and around $55-70 a month each for electric. Some months it’s even $35 each. Since we have the wall mounted heating and cooling units, the price can depend on usage of those.

The apt is pet friendly. There is a $500 nonrefundable pet deposit which would cover up to two pets. I really want to get a dog (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) so am hoping to find someone open to pets. I’ve wanted one since I moved in almost two years ago though so not sure when it will happen. I haven’t found the right one yet. FYI I also like cats if you have one.

We’re about a 5 minute walk from the Court Square stop. Queens Plaza is about a 5 minute walk in the other direction and Queensboro Plaza is about a 6 minute walk.

Please send me a message if you have any questions or are interested in a virtual tour. Also sorry my photos uploaded sideways. I’m not sure why they did that.

Thanks!
